It is in Riocaud, in the Gironde department, and more precisely at the FAGETE family's that 6 photovoltaic agricultural sheds were built and a roof on an existing building was equipped with photovoltaic panels. In total, 7 photovoltaic power plants were built on the FAGETE family's farm, which specializes in cattle breeding.
The construction of these buildings allowed the family of farmers to perpetuate and continue the development of their livestock farming activity on their site, and to best prepare for the installation of two young people on the farm.
For Laurent FAGETE, the idea of opting for photovoltaics came from “word of mouth”, and was a solution to “expand”. Today, the buildings are used to house fodder, agricultural equipment and for livestock breeding. Currently, two new hangar construction projects are under development to allow the farm to continue its development.
